Guilds/Groups
 
Your local guilds and needlework groups  are an excellent place to learn more about your favourite fibre arts. Many welcome new members and are more than happy to share their knowledge. Check with your local associations and see when the members meet and when their next series of workshops are planned.
 
 
Classes
 
Fredericton edVentures program for a variety of fibre art disciplines. A variety of five-day to two-day courses offered during the summer months.
 
Embroidery
 
 
 
Knitting
It's Hip to Knit: Every second Wednesday, children ages 9 to 15 can learn how to knit as they make a mini bag or belt. It's all part of the Saint John Free Public Library's Knitting Club for Kids. Upstairs in Market Square.
 
Tuesday After School Knitting Club  Quispamsis
Kennebecasis Public Library
4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Open to elementary school children in Grades 4 and up. Registration is required. Please call 849-5314 to do so.
 
Knitting classes for beginners/intermediate knitters offered by Cricket Cove, Saint John City Market, 47 Charlotte St. Pre-registered classes run for 2, 3, or 4 weeks, with a total of six hours of instruction. Cost is $35, plus tax and materials. Private knitting lessons also available for $25 per hour. Contact (506) 642-2797 for more information.
 
Knit along sessions at London-Wul Farm, Lakeburn, on Sunday afternoons, between 1 pm and 5 pm. Projects vary, but the fun and friendly help are a constant!
